Facit Homes are industry leaders in delivering innovative, award-winning, bespoke homes. You may have seen them on UK’s Grand Designs, in an episode following their journey creating “the world’s first computer-cut house.”

They contacted us after vetting our profile on Checkatrade (a big ‘thank you’ to all who took the time to rate our work!). Pocketsdell House, Herts, HP3, is the first time we ever worked together, and we are delighted that they approached us to supply a few aspects of their design. We were commissioned to take care of the full electrical installation (this includes basement, ground floor, and loft), as well as a total station set up for the foul and water pumps.
We began in September 2020 and completed our works in January 2021, so we could see the design come to life over time. Throughout our involvement, we took care for the communication process to be as transparent as possible, with one point of contact on-site managing our teams’ efforts. It is our way of working, and it pays dividends, especially when we are engaged to support architects and designers during projects that are innovative and cutting-edge.
The house itself is not a typical construction – in the best sense of the word. And this approach became Facit Homes’ calling card. It’s located in a rural setting, with magnificent windows that transport natural light throughout the interiors. The overhanging first floor rests on remarkable steel tree columns, a unique feature that makes this design unforgettable. In addition, it has an extraordinary staircase (we had the pleasure of incorporating LED lighting onto the handrails), a large basement; it is bright and super-insulated, with underfloor heating system.
Each aspect of the design has been thoroughly thought through, and we are very pleased to have contributed our part to its completion.
